What the rating means
Every approved education and care service in Australia is assessed against the National Quality Standard and given an overall rating. The national authority, ACECQA, describes Exceeding NQS as going above and beyond what is expected at the Meeting NQS level. To be rated Exceeding overall, all seven quality areas must be at least Meeting, and four or more must be Exceeding, with at least two of those being Quality Areas 1, 5, 6 or 7. The ratings above are the current ones on the register. For more detail see our guides to the National Quality Standard and quality area ratings.
